Applications
A multidisciplinary project aimed at reinventing the spatial and visual identity of Aedes Architecture Forum — a world-renowned, independent institution for the international discourse on contemporary architecture and urban design.
The concept
At the heart of the concept lies a single question: How can we create a space that fits everyone? The solution is a system of mobile flaps, allowing users to shape the environment to their needs — forming open communal zones or more private working areas with ease.

The Space
Collaborating with two architects and two interior designers, we developed a holistic concept that reflects both the core values of Aedes — simplicity, familiarity, and openness — and its diverse functional needs. The space was reimagined as highly dynamic and modular, able to adapt fluidly to a wide range of activities, from exhibitions and conferences to workshops and individual work.

The logo
This flexible, user-driven approach is also echoed in the visual identity. The logo design is inspired by the idea of moving parts, capturing the adaptability and inclusivity at the core of the project.

Visual Identity
To further express the concept of individual agency in shaping space, we invited a test group to each fold a blank A4 sheet of paper in a way that felt intuitive or aesthetically pleasing to them. These unique folded forms became the foundation for the visual identity, symbolising personal interaction, adaptability, and collective creativity
Signage
Given the dynamic nature of the space, clear and intuitive signage was a key focus. We designed accessible infographics to guide each visitor upon entry, providing straightforward instructions on how to use the movable flaps and customise the space to suit their individual needs.
